A masseuse who was called to a Courtyard Marriott hotel room in Burbank on Sunday took a client’s iPad and Macbook Pro while he was in the restroom, police said.
The client, a 24-year-old man from Florida, reported his Apple gear missing not long after letting the masseuse into his room at the hotel in the 2100 block of Empire Avenue at about 4:10 a.m., according to police.
The masseuse was described as a black woman with long dark hair, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and as wearing a red-hooded sweatshirt. No other descriptions, including her possible age, were available.

Zero Arrests Made During DUI Checkpoint
Police are reporting that 803 vehicles were screened at a sobriety checkpoint in Burbank on Saturday, and no arrests were made.
The DUI checkpoint on San Fernando Boulevard, which was in effect from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m., screened 803 vehicles. Of those, two drivers were detained for a field sobriety test, but were not arrested, police said.
Two citations were issued to unlicensed drivers, while another was issued for driving with a suspended license. One vehicle was impounded.
In comparison, Glendale police stopped 70 vehicles and arrested nine drivers on suspicion of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs during a saturation patrol Saturday night.
