Authorities Seeking Man Who Assaulted an Elderly Women

The LA Times is reporting that authorities in Santa Clarita are asking for the public’s help in finding a man they claim brutally attacked an elderly passenger on a bus while at the Valencia transit center.

There has been a felony arrest warrant issued for the suspect, Bernhardt Darko. Los Angeles County Officials claim that Darko beat the victim and inflicted several injuries to the victim’s head and face. The authorities state that attack occurred around 7:45 p.m Oct. 5. The victim is said to be in his late 60’s.

According to a statement by Deputy Joshua Dubin of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff Station’s Crime Prevention Unit, “This assault was particularly violent.”While it is unknown where Darko resides, Dubin says he is believed to frequent the areas of Newhall Ranch Road and McBean Parkway in Valencia.
